It's all about finding the right coach for you!
Before I began my career as a full time poker professional and coach, I held several senior management positions over a 15 year period.
Having started my early working life on the shop floor of a factory, I found myself on the board of the company, at the age of just 25, with an ambition to become wealthy and successful.
In 2000 I was listed in the top 30 highest paid directors in my chosen industry.
As I ticked off my goals one by one, I found that something was still missing in my life. In 2005 I left my position as Group Managing Director of a UK business. I found the excitement and passion I was looking for in poker.

I began my poker career playing small stakes six handed cash games. In my first year I was £15,000 down. It's the same old story - "if only I knew what I know now." I didn't have a coach and it never occurred to me to seek professional training and development. It was only after five hard years of practise, study and continuous play that I became sufficiently talented to turn professional. It was a long and hard road that could have been much less costly and a lot less frustrating if only I had sought the correct coaching. I continue to study poker with my own coaches and by playing the game for a living.
"If you have integrity as a coach you never stop studying for self improvement."
Today I hugely enjoy the benefits of helping others to achieve their goals.
